The DG German Society for Christian Arts r.s. promotes contemporary art in the Christian context and provides a forum for a lively dialogue between art and the Church. Founded in 1893 as a national, non-profit and independent cultural institution, the association is committed to the creative exchange of ideas between artists, theologians and art lovers. The gallery of DG annually organizes up to five exhibitions, which are dedicated to the art and architecture of the present and deal in a modern way with the existential questions of humanity. Guided tours, artist talks, lectures, readings or performances complement the presentations each of them contributing to a complex image of artistic and substantive questions. In addition to its own exhibitions, the DG is involved in external art projects, conceives conferences, podium discussions, a diversity of excursions and enters collaborations with other exhibition venues.

Seat of the office is Munich. Here, in the center of the city, the DG has its own gallery space.
