A mythical creature, it manifests the archaic power of nature, our profound connection with it, and how culturalised man has overcome it. With the aid of free, fictitious “reconstructions”, RESANITA turn this male archetype into a “Wild Woman”, making it a strong anthropomorphic figure of equal standing. The project consists of artistic research in the Central European region and can be interpreted as a feminist intervention and reaction to Charles Fréger’s photographic series Wilder Mann. Consistently, in the exhibition RESANITA also respond with the aid of the photography, lending the medium an almost magical, evocative force in two animations.
