Alex Maffi is a visual artist whose work is expressed with the various themes that derive from our relationship to the univers: essence of life, quest for identity and a projection towards universality. This work is driven by my need to express the emotional truth contained in recurring visual memories, current observations of life and my imagination of what could be our future.

I have practiced a wide range of styles, such as, graphic painting, abstract painting, calligraphic painting and new media art.

Мое любимое произведение. Почему?:

In the example of my current artwork which primarily shows the Ethiopian writings (around 2000 BC) and then various world characters as part of a contemporary artistic practice, I try to combine style and message, history and actuality, writing and painting, to demonstrate that a synergy, without confusion nor separation is possible between the different world cultures.
