Artist statement
In an old philosophical dispute between the Ancient Greek philosopher Socrates and his pupil there appeared an attempt to find the essence of the beauty concept. Later, many scientists tried to understand the sense of cultural life in general... Probably in these eternal searches is the essence of the human.
In my opinion, there is something objective, that unites all people and all cultures - desire to see art and to surround themselves with beauty.
In this connection for a long time I’ve understood the activity of an artist as the activity of a scientist, who with genuine objectivity displays his modern life, society, various social relationships as well as the attitude of the person to his culture and surroundings.
The work of an artist is very important, because frequently it is impossible to translate cultural phenomena into verbal words. Besides good pictures can give much more valuable information to us than scientific treatises. In fact, good artist is free.
I consider myself to be very lucky, because for some period of time I had an opportunity to do painting together with scientific work. The understanding of the main and the minor, the significant and the momentary was given to me by the Science — philosophy, sociology, culturology . Also I understood all the importance of the fine arts. Now I can give all of myself to the present — the Painting.
I consider the basic concept of my creativity to be the attempt to depict the thrilling and promptly escaping beauty of the modern validity - to continue seeing beauty where it is not visible at first sight, to catch and embody a certain alert moment in human, in nature, in the idea, to trust the brush, the knowledge, the experience and to be fair in the creativity. At last, it is an attempt to explain to myself and to my contemporaries the possible senses of this life.
During the last years I’ve been involved into search and development of the new art forms, not escaping whenever it is possible the classical basics of the fine arts. In my opinion, lost in time aesthetics of the ancient world and antiquity should be apprehended by contemporaries in a new fashion, with the accent on a picturesque component.

Participated in the art exhibition of the Kiev representation of The American Camber of Commerce in Ukraine - "Autumn Charity Ball", Kiev.
