1964 - I was born on 13 October
I started painting at the early age
1980-84 - studied at Tbilisi I.Nikoladze College of Art
1986-92 - continued studying in Tbilisi Academy of Art, painting faculty.
1993 - started working at Tbilisi State Philarmonics as chief artist. I have decorated a lot of musical shows.
At different times I have taken part in various exhibitions in Tbilisi: Gallery “Hobby”, Gallery “Cameo”, Gallery GTM (Personal Exhibition, 2008), Moscow 2009 “25kadr-gallery”, Prague, London (gallery KALEIDOSCOPE 2007, 2008 Christmas Exhibition, Art in London 2007, 2008, 2009), etc.
At the moment I live in Tbilisi and the majority of my works are in private collections (mostly in the west).
Kakhaber Tatishvilis’ art begins from early childhood. After finishing the art college he graduates Academy of Arts, painting class. It’s a dificult period of freedom struggle which is depicted in his degree work (stored in the depository of the academy.) Tatishvilis’ art is diverse in themes and fulfilment. Generally it describes artists’opinion ansd attitude to any object, occurrence, person or situation. Lanscapes and abstract compositions are the results of artists’ distinct and authoring vision. Such relations we see inthe series of “old steam engines” (old steam engines from the series of “silk road”).
The periods of Kakhaber’s creative work defer from each other. In spite of this, individuality and authoring vision are maintained. The artist prefers oil colours and canvas, however actively works on paper, tempera and acrylic.
