um[laut] is a magazine devoted to young and political art. it seeks to be a forum for people that creatively express themselves, driven by a certain anxiety about the world. it does never talk about the art of those young people but shows it. it is also a principle of our magazine that we especially focus on what artists voluntarily and initially submit to us. we feature art from many genres as comic art, street art, projects, painting, drawing, photography, computer graphics, graphic art, short prose, poems, drama, letter-art, performance art, sculpture and whatever else our artists can think of. in this community we would like to make friends and encourage also artists from english-speaking background to submit their work since um[laut] has already featured interesting artists from france (eric tabuchi, olivier guerlain), the netherlands (theo jansen) and london (slinkachu). we look forward to meeting you!
