.” In my work, my desire is to pass on to the world my reflection of life, happiness, love, and sorrow.
Colors and texture are central to my abstract and realistic paintings. My style is somewhat related to the impasto look, accomplished with a palette knife and thick and broad-brush strokes. I use vibrant and rich colors that try to capture our inner soul and spread good energy. In my realistic and abstract work, subjects ranges from love to landscape and everything life has to offer to me at any moment. Ideas change during the creative process: I like to work intuitively, patiently, and optimistically. I see similarities between my work and that of other artists but as time passes, the uniqueness of my work seems to develop which adds to my excitement. Each piece has a life of its own and yet, they all speak the same language, send the same message. I am using acrylic and oil paint in most of my paintings because it gives me the greatest flexibility. I am also experimenting with watercolor, which demands a certain discipline from the artist. My favorite tool is my palette knife because of its versatility. Without it, my work would not be what it is!
