About my work
About work:
One group exhibition in St.Gallen Christmas 2009. I still have too little work to participate normally in exhibitions. But I had some commisions for people of my acquaintance.
My style:
Abstract recently. Try to paint another landscape later (this time a study from Kefalonia or Zakynthos, Greek isles/Ionian Sea).
My concept :
I have no special plan. My desire to draw is more spontaneous.
I work with these materials:
I work mostly with acrylic paints and spray.
What kind of materials I prefer:
Acryl colors, acrylic spray and suitable tools for the design of forms.
What inspires me?:
The desire to paint and listening to preferred styles of music (progressive rock, artrock, classical piano concertos) are my inspiration. Kandinsky is still my favorite artist.
Favorite work and why:
La danse d'adieu, 2009
Out of my window, there are three maple trees. By the way, it was late autumn and the idea was, to portray the life cycle of a maple leaf. White for birth, black for dead (when they will be furnished away) and the other colours reflect the four seasons.
La maison rouge en flemmes, 2009
There were several house fires in the area during a short period of time which have inspired me to this image.
My message:
"This moment is different from any before it, this moment is different, it's now."
