When you close your eyes and those tiny flashes and spots float ahead of you in the deep darkness. That is nothing like this. When you close the door to that windowless room and you’re completely alone. That is nothing like this. Darkness isn’t black. It isn’t purple, it isn’t blue. It isn’t found on any known palette because we have never truly witnessed it. The ocean holds many secrets and the true nature of the dark is but one. A Greek Trireme? Atlantis? New species of squid? Who even knows what lurks in the deepest depths of the waters that wrap themselves around seventy one percent of our earth. Perhaps darkness isn’t even a color, but a feeling. Better yet, a state. A state of agelessness, where you forget what you’re searching for because you have all at once found everything and nothing.
