Everything moves. Everything moves on. Just two letters in a phrase completely alters the meaning. To move, or to move on. Both inherently imply motion, but just one letter separates motion from emotion. One seemingly insignificant shift ripples the waters of understanding. Many species of birds famously pick up and move as they migrate south to find respite from the biting temperatures of winter. So too do monarch butterflies move and beat their wings against miles of cutting winds each fall. They move, but they never move on. Why should they have to? What complicates the lives of those that live amongst clouds? Sadly for us, we can move all we want without ever achieving moving on. We still do it. We pack up, and change our mailing address, and think that constitutes a fresh start. The migration of the soul and the heart is not so easily triggered. Move, move, move your hearts. Move on.
