“And when you heard a dining-room smash
Or up from the pantry there came a loud crash
Or down from the library came a loud ping”
- From Mungojerrie and Rumpelteazer by T.S. Elliot
It is a rare occasion these days that the weather is good and I have the spare time to go for a long drive. These drives help me clear my head—I don’t care what my friends and family say. “You’re in no condition to drive,” or, “You’re going to kill yourself, or someone else.” It’s all just noise. I’ve gotten this far in life making decisions for myself and trusting my instincts. Hell, I survived a fall from nine stories up. I’m not going anywhere in particular, just getting away from here. The weather is fine and all I want is the wind in my hair and my problems behind me.
