I don’t dare move too much alone- I’m waiting for the others. I just get the information handed down from one to another, adjusted the slightest to account for whatever worldview of the listener/speaker. I don’t know much but what I’ve gathered is that we’re stuck here for lack of solid plans. Everyone is wondering if what we might find out there is better than what we have here. No one can say for sure so etiquette has flown right out the window. We can no longer go about our business as though the room is not on fire; it is fully engulfed. The best option, then, is panic. And this is a sort of plan, for now it’s the only one we’ve got. You’ll mistake our movements for so many things but never for what they are: total terror for lack of better things to do.
