I remember, I remember well. I can see us both under the stars and under trees and sometimes both. The whole heaving universe slid into some strange alignment I wouldn’t dare wonder too terribly at, lest it fall apart under the weight of my fuzzy belated scrutiny. We had time and youth and love and now we’ve gone and used it all up, boy wasn't it fun though! Of all the summers in time and all the people to have come across what a delight that we had fallen onto each other just then. What a delight that we’ve never stopped falling. Swinging to and fro some long forever ago, who could of ever guessed we’d get old! As the clock’s ticking speeds to near a solid single tone I think about the leaves and the wind and that old rope swing in your parents back yard. Maybe before I cash it all in I’ll take a trip out there again to see if it’s still hanging, to see if there’s just a little magic left in that storied old swing.
