His work takes elements of pop culture, social commentary, stereotyping, advertising, music, satire, cinema, pop art, impressionism, fact, fiction, the past, the future and the imagination and combines them to create bold, contemporary images. He says,
‘‘I have taken reference points from all of the mavericks in popular culture over the last 100 or so years and used these perspectives to formulate a strategy, knowing that if you do not understand the past, in whatever your chosen field, you will be condemned to repeat it. ’’

I get my ideas from everyday situations, people in the street, sights and sounds, social problems, music, film, advertising, satire, fact, fiction, imagination and the internet.

any work by any maverick in any media.
Il mio messaggio:
I see my work veering toward people in their own enviroments, whether it be urban, rural, past, present or future, manipulated by the boring or dangerous situations they find themselves in. Like stills from an imaginary film.
I want to create a scene and not cater for one. I see influence as being like a bank account, the more you use, the less you have.
I don’t see the point in painting vase’s of flowers or bowls of fruit, it is about moving with the times. The mavericks in popular art and culture over the last 100 or so years didn’t change peoples ideals by sticking to the conventional, they commented on what they saw around them, how times were changing and recorded the moment for their future and ours, and it is this that I also aim to achieve.
