the artdepot was founded in 2008 as a center of communications for art and culture and has to be viewed as the continuation and expansion of the art2rent project.

through its vision “space for art,” the artdepot represents the liaison of art and culture, offering artists of practically every genre an open ear as well as space, resources, and the planning of a professional team. having expanded its competences beyond those of a mere gallery or a rental-art-service, the artdepot also organizes musical, theatrical, or literary evenings. the gallery is both showroom and research facility. a central concern is the examination with contemporary tyrolean art. thus, the artdpeot is also a platform for discussions, aiming to support the understanding for new and experimental art.
