About
For over 25 years the Pierre M. Dumonteil Gallery has played a major role in the discovery and rediscovery of the greatest figurative artists from the 20th Century. In hosting many personal and thematic exhibitions, the gallery has allowed Art lovers to appreciate the talent of the gifted artists who have dedicated their work to the theme of the animal; from BUGATTI to GIACOMETTI, GUYOT, POMPON to ARTUS, along with many others including Camille ROCHE, JOUVE, Pierre CHRISTOPHE, Marcel DERNY, NAVELLIER, TREMONT and Van RYSWYCK.
In parallel, the Gallery has also focused on the Colonial theme, as well as the Human Figure, exhibiting works by artists including E.A BOURDELLE, Georges COULON, RODIN, Henri BOUCHARD, TROUBETZKOY, Séraphin GILLY, ZADKINE; BIZETTE-LINDET, MAILLOL, André MAIRE, Camille CLAUDEL, R.COUTURIER, Anna QUINQUAUD.
Over the last 15 years, the discovery and promotion of the best contemporary animal sculptors has taken an increasingly important place alongside the works of the Greatest Artists of the 1920's.
Today, DAVIAU, FIORI, BODIN, OWCZAREK, VOITURIEZ, BINTZ and CELOTTI, share the Gallery space with their illustrious predecessors and compete for the attention of the discerning collector.
Paintings of Helmut KOLLER and photos of Eric PILLOT complete this exclusive choice of contemporary work of art on the animal theme
After a successful and permanent presence in China in Shanghai with two galleries located at Sinan Mansions and Jumen Lu, the Gallery Pierre M. Dumonteil has the pleasure to announce the opening in September 2012 of its New York gallery at 475 Park Avenue, between 57th and 58th street in midtown Manhattan. This latest gallery will enhance, because of its space, the presentation to our international clientele of our Artists’ large scale artworks, which have been very much in demand within the last years.
