Fabrizio Moretti, President
Fabrizio Moretti, the son of the noted Italian antiques dealer, Alfredo Moretti, was born in Prato on 6 December 1976.
He graduated from classics high school, F. Cicognini in Prato. Thanks to the faith of his father after his retirement in 1993, Mr. Moretti dedicated himself to study and research and graduated with a degree in Literature and History from the Department of Literature and Philosophy at the University of
Florence and went on to be the founder of Moretti Srl at the young age of 22 in
Florence.
On 27 September 2004, the French Minister of Culture, Renaud Donnedieu Vabres, bestowed the title of Chevalier de l’Ordre des Art et des Lettres.
Mr Moretti is the vice-president of the Associazione Antiquaria d’Italia and a member of the Federazione Italiana Mercanti d'Arte, the Associazione Antiquari Fiorentini, the French Syndicat National des Antiquaires, the Confédération Internationale des Négociants en Oeuvres d'Art, the Society of London Art Dealers e the British Antiques Dealers Association.
Gabriele Caioni, Director
Born in Prato in 1976, Mr. Caioni received his high school diploma from the classics high school, F. Cicognini. He graduated with a degree in Jurisprudence from the University of
Florence having written a thesis on Comparative Private Law.
Mr. Caioni has worked for Moretti Gallery since 1999 and he is the general director.
In 2004, he contributed to the organization of the exhibition, Bartolomeo di Giovanni. Collaboratore di Ghirlandaio e Botticelli, at the Museum of San Marco in
Florence.
Together with Fabrizio Moretti, in September 2005, Mr. Caioni curated the show Da Allegretto Nuzi a Pietro Perugino and edited its accompanying catalogue.
In 2007 he edited the new catalogue, Dagli eredi di Giotto al primo Cinquecento.
In 2008 was the editorial director of the catalogue by Gianfranco Gentilini: Dal rilievo alla pittura. La Madonna delle Candelabre di Antonio Rossellino and collaborated to the exhibition of the american artist Carole A. Feuerman.
Mr. Caioni pubblished the catalogue of the exhibition Dalla tradizione gotica al primo Rinascimento in 2009.
In 2010, in collaboration with Francesca Baldassari, curated the catalogue Quattro 'favole' inedite di Giacinto Gimignani.
The Middle Ages And Early Renaissance. Paintings And Sculptures From The CarloDe Carlo Collection And Other Provenance was edited by Mr. Caioni in 2012.
