Hi!
I am originally from London but moved to Italy on a one-year contract with an ad agency in 1981 and I am still here ...
I have always worked with creative people and I like to think of myself as creative too, even though I can't draw a straight line and normally cut peoples' heads off in photographs.
I worked in advertising for 17 years, then ran my own interiors shop, went back to university, took a law degree and worked for two years for an international business law firm (I hated it - lawyers are a bit too "creative" when it comes to law in my view). I resigned and spent a month watching DVD films and talent shows on TV. I believe you never do something without a reason. So, I interpreted this movie interlude as a need to get back to something I liked and really wanted to do. No sooner said then done ... thanks to the internet.
This is how Kennedy Consulting came about. I do bus dev for TV program projects, documentaries and feature films. I also represent photograhers (fashion and still-life) and artists. Much more fun than law.
What do I do exactly? Well, that depends on what my clients want. It can include marketing, PR, creating contacts, visibility, shows, exhibitions, finding a gallery in Italy or selling work to corporate clients. In one case it also means selling art as a financial asset - but you have to be quoted for this and your paintings should be selling for more than half a million USD.
If you'd like to find out more, send me a mail.
My interests
American tv series - they have so much money to spend on production!
Good thrillers or interesting books - must remember to read Moby Dick - on my list of things to do.
Any dance or classical ballet - I am thinking of taking a modern dance course, which at my age is wishful thinking ...
I like:
Anything creative and design related. I love garden landscaping, the equivalent of "green" painting.
I am also a TV tennis fan and can watch 8 hours at a time.
I am also a social animal and like meeting meeting from different backgrounds and cultures.
Italian Futurism - easpecially the cooking and menus - absolutely disgusting to eat but visually outrageous!
I hate:
Damien Hirst - really over-rated. How many sheep are there in the world.
My hobbies:
I think my job is my hobby.
My favorite artist:
Fernando Leal Audirac (1958- ) - Mexican-Spanish-French
